VOTE!

So, if you've already voted on the poll, you can skip this post. I know I would. For those that haven't voted, you have 25 days left to cast your vote! The poll is on the right side of my blog, so it should be somewhere over there. ------------------>

Basically, I'm just trying to figure out what readers like to see. If your favorite kind of post isn't on the list of options, just leave a comment on this post or any others. ~Peace, Love, and Happy Monday

P.S. I'm about 3/4 finished with a Sarah Dessen book, so I should actually have something to review here any day now!

Review: Born This Way, a Lady GaGa music video

Yeah, I'm not even going to bother to put it in, because, to be honest, I didn't particularly like it. As a result, I don't feel like sharing it. I only saw it once, probably will never watch it again, and here's my opinion:

Don't get me wrong, I like the song. I think the message is a pretty good one. But the music video almost portrays here as God, a definite no-no in my book. You just...no,... you just don't do that. That is definitely the biggest problem I have with it. It's just not right.

Secondly, does she have to be half-naked ALL THE TIME? I don't think so. I really didn't see how the part during the actually song related to the beginning. Maybe I'm looking into it too much, maybe I'm not looking into it enough. Who knows? ~Peace, Love, and creepy sparkly unicorns

Review: Planetary (Go!)

So, I'm sure any My Chem fan was excited to see their new music video for Planetary (Go!) come out today. I didn't know it was coming out and got excited when I saw it in my subscription box.

This is the cover for the
single version.
I really don't have much to say about it. I mean, it wasn't a big production like their last two music videos (for 'SING' and 'Na Na Na') but I still like it. I almost makes me feel like I'm at the show, which I think is super-cool. Now, I know I trashed Taylor Swift once for not bringing the story of the song into the video, but this video was simple, and I think it worked. Maybe because, with MCR, you have to work a little harder to figure out what their saying (and once you do, it's usually beautiful). So I think a simple video worked in this situation.

I apologize for this unflattering
picture. It is the best I
could find.

I saw Gerard's hair, and my first thought was NOOOO! Then I looked at it a bit more, and I think I like it. It's somewhat boyish, which he manages to make work, even thuough he's 33 (I think). That's two haircut's in the band in just like, a month! I like Gerard's much more than Franks though. I miss Frank's longer do. (I can't believe I'm blogging about celebrity haircuts. I feel like such a Justin Bieber fan. Ooo, that's scary. Yeah, definitely don't talking about hair now.)

I also noticed today that Lady Gaga released a music video for Born This Way recently, so I'll probably review that soon. But, other than that, I don't know. So leave some comments! ~Peace, Love, and keep running

P.S. I think I might have to steal the bass from this video. Watch out Mikey...

An Apology, An Explanation, and Alot of Ranting in Between

If you haven't noticed, I haven't been posting quite as much lately. I apologize, and hope I'm forgiven. (Cue adorable puppy dog face.) I've got two reasons for this, one of which you can help me with!

My first reason is my busy life. As if it wasn't busy before, I've taken on some more things because, well, I guess I like to have things to do. All my weekends for about a month are booked, and finding time to blog has been difficult lately. One top of that, I've had a lot of stressful things happening. I won't bore you with ranting on that, since I'm sure you really don't care.

Another problem is that I don't have anything to blog about! (The space bar on the keyboard I'm using sticks. Grr...). I just haven't read any blog- worthy books lately, and I haven't seen any movies, gotten any new CD's, or bought any reviewable products. So I need your help! Do you have something you want me to review? A book or movie? A product? Some music? Tell me! Just leave  a comment on any of my post. Come on people! Don't be shy! I don't care who you are (unless you're Charlie Sheen), just leave a comment! I want to hear you ideas.

So hopefully I get some comments soon and I'll actually have so things to review! Until then... ~Peace, Love, and no Beiber comments either

Freaky Sock Friday #8

I can tell already, you want these socks! Yeah I don't blame you. In case you didn't figure it out, they're supposed to look like the ruby slippers Dorothy wore. You know, like in The Wizard of Oz? She wore blue socks with her ruby slippers, so these happen to be acurate. Unfortunatley, these beauties don't actually sparkle like their inspiration. I don't think anyway. If they did, that would be awesome. The site says that they have little grippy things on the bottom, but they're not too think to wear with shoes. So versitile! I found these at Socks by Sock Dreams, a site I used a couple weeks back, and I liked it enough to use it again. I definetly think I will be using it again in the future, since they have SOOO many socks. These are called Ruby Slipper Socks and you can find them right here. ~Peace, Love, and Twizzlers

Review: Remember Me

Someone did a great job with this still. They turned it into art! I simply had to use it. Plus, I think Rob looks great. Well, you know, scruffy, but great.
This weekend I saw Remeber Me. (Again. I saw it once before, but I didn't have a blog then.) Before I even brake it down, I just want to say, I LOVE this movie. Lately, I've been seeing alot of, cheesy, corny, chick flick, light movies. I think Remember Me was just what I needed.

I'll warn you in advance, this whole movie is sort of dark and serious. When I say dark, I don't necessarily mean scary, or demonic, or anything like that. The whole thing is just sort of...hmm, I don't know how to put it. You'll have to see it to find out.

Now, for my super short and lametastic summary! Remember Me is about a guy named Tyler Hawkins (Robert Pattinson). This dude's life is really messed up. His brother killed himself, his father is...well, he's a big meanie, and his sister is considered a weirdo wherever she goes. He meets Ally (Emilie de Ravin) and things really start to change for him. I don't want to ruin anything, but I absolutely HAVE to warn you. This movie does not have a happy ending. The ending is kind of shocking actually. It's a great ending though, even if it is sad.

It's kind of odd, because the mood sort of stays the same throughout the entire film, but there were happy parts, and sad parts, and funny parts, and depressing parts. I think it's that whole 'dark' thing again. Maybe it was meant to be that way, maybe not. Who knows? It certainly does make you think. Not as much as Inception, but still. It left me contemplating things like life, family, and relationships.

I think the cast did AMAZING in this movie. Of course, Robert Pattinson (The Twilight Saga, Water for Elephants) was wonderful. I don't think just anyone could have played that role, and he did a great job. Ditto with Emilie de Ravin (Lost). It was kind of a different character, but she got into it and made it work. It seems like a movie that would come from a book, but I don't think there is one, which makes me sad, because I think it would make a great book.

Can you tell I'm digging these RPattz pics?
This would be a really good movie to rent with some gal pals, but I would keep your boyfriend or husband away. It scares them when we cry. So if you need a good excuse to cry, this should do the trick. Wikipedia describes it as a 'romantic coming of age drama'. So enjoy! ~Peace, Love, and bunnies wearing hats? (Yeah, I got nothing today.)
P.S. If you guys have anything you think I should review, leave a comment below. Come on people, don't be shy! I mean, no garuntee I'll be able to do it, but I will try, and see what I can do.

Bath and Body Works is suing Summit Entertainment!?

Hey guys! I was just surfing the web and I saw this article about how Bath and Body Works it suing Summit Entertainment. For anyone who shops at B&BW, you know one of their newish scents is called 'Twilight Woods'. Well, B&BW is saying that the title of the fragrance doesn't infringe the trademark on everyone's favorite vampire hit, the Twilight franchise. Apparently, Summit thinks that B&BW stole their design and color scheme from Twilight.

Oh, yeah. These colors are exactly alike.
“The term ‘Twilight’ is used so as to evoke the idea of a particular time of day when the sun is just below the horizon, illuminating the landscape,” the lawsuit says. “Whereas defendant uses the term ‘Twilight’ to refer to defendant’s teen vampire saga.”

From the sounds of it, Summit has been getting into all sorts of legal business with all sorts of people and companies! Everyone's trying to make a buck.

Personally, I think this is pretty stupid. When I first heard about B&BW's new line, yes, I automatically wondered if had to do with the Twilight Saga. Then, you realize that it's not, and LET IT GO, something Summit seems to be having trouble with. I don't see the resemblance in color palate either. I mean, Twilight Woods has this kind of, pink and amber thing going on. When has the Twilight Saga ever been pink!? And so, readers, it seems that I'm going to have to take B&BW's side on this one. Besides, I love my Twilight Woods hand soap, hand lotion, body lotion, and hand sanitizer. Yeah, it's good stuff. ~Peace, Love, sniff sniff

Freaky Sock Friday #7

Kay, so these socks are kind of my addition to Hollie's collection of yellow things from her latest post. I hardly EVER wear yellow. Like, I seriously have one yellow shirt hanging in my closet. (It has Snoopy on it and it says 'I only date nerds.') Anyway, I would still wear these socks! I guess you would call that zebra print. The colors are so bright, I love them. These awesome socks cost $8.99. If you want to check them out, click here. They're from Absolute Socks. I think I've used that site before, but I'm not sure. Enjoy!  ~Peace, Love, and one busy life

Freaky Sock Friday #6 (and more!)

You guys know that St. Patricks day is on the way, so why not celebrate with these socks!? They are knee socks, and the site that sells them, AbsoluteSocks.com, actually calls them 'psycabright.' That ups there awesomeness, because that's an awesome word. Just click here to check out these celebratory socks!

BUT WAIT!!!
THERE'S MORE!!!
Yeah, it's not that big of a deal, so don't get too excited. I just wanted to tell everyone that Amazon has released a new Water for Elephants trailer. I think it's longer than the last one, and I also think it looks into the story a little more. Unfortunately, I cannot find it on YouTube, so you'll have to deal with this boring old link. Would putting in some stills compensate for the lack of the video? A girl can try. ~Peace, Love, and another movie-filled weekend

Review: Letters to Juliet

This past weekend was filled with movies, which is good, because I needed stuff to review! One of those movies was Letters to Juliet, which I watched while painting my toenails bright orange. I think I'm trying to make spring come faster than it is.

This film was by Summit Entertainment, which is my favorite, so when I see that mountain-symbol type thing, I'm like, "This should be good!" Then the menu thingy popped up and it was adorable, as were the opening credits.

It really didn't beat around the bush. I mean, you hit play, and it doesn't take long to cut to the chase.

I really liked alot of the characters. I mean, Clair was sweet and sneaky, Victor was a wieny, and Charlie was properly adorable. They had their glitches though. Sophie's wardrobe was awful, in my opinion. Plus, she's pretty obtuse about men. I mean, the guy she's with doesn't care about her, and there's this great guy that she hardly even notices.
I think this movie was...alot of things, I guess. It was cute, corny, light, obvious. Like I said, alot of things, some good, some bad. I was disappointed that it was one of those situations where they put too much in the trailer.

If you're looking for a feel-good, cheesy chick flick, I recommend Letters to Juliet. It has quite a few good quotes in it too. Make sure to check back fo more reviews coming soon! ~Peace, Love, and Messy Bits
