Review: Hush, Hush

IT WAS AWESOME!!!

But I bet you want all the nitty-gritty little details, don't you? Well okay...

I wasn't kidding, by the way. This book was totally and completely awesome. Not just regular awesome, either. I'm talking one-of-the-best-books-I've-ever-read awesome. Yeah, that's awesome. It was right up there with Twilight in my opinion. So I recommend it to anyone, really. Unless your name is Hollie Shepard and you hate and loathe all the books I love and adore. But, enough of my ranting.

Here's what the front flap has to say:

"A sacred oath.
A fallen angel.
A forbidden love

Romance was not part of Nora Grey's plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how hard her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch comes along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Patch draws Nora to him against her better judgement.

But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is and seems to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.

For she is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those who have fallen- and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost Nora her life."

Becca Fitzpatrick

Whoa, intense. Anyway, this book is interesting in that your opinion of the characters and situations changes throughout the course of the book. Or does this happen with every book and I've just never noticed? Huh. For example, at the beginning of the book I thought Patch seemed like a creepy stalker guy. In fact, you might not want to read it if you are easily creeped out. But then, of course, you get used to him (and his name) and you've learned to love him by the end, which was great. I couldn't wait to get my hands on the next book in the series, Crescendo, and when I did, I was disappointed. So, expect a review soon.

I actually really like the cover art for this, which is strange, because I usually don't like when they put people. But, they didn't show the guy's face, so maybe that's why. I also like the title treatment (I think that's what it's called. Maybe that's just for movies. Hmm...), how it's all pointy and metallic.

Well, my eyes continue to grow tired the more I type, so I must stop, because I'm having trouble seeing. I don't want to get up and trip and fall more than I do already. ~Peace, Love, and peanut butter cups

P.S. I can't believe I forgot to say this yesterday! *facepalm* Stupid Alice! So now I have to say
Happy BELATED Birthday
to
Robert Pattinson!!!
