Review: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
Anywho, I definitely have to buy this one and add it to my collection. It's was great. I do have to say, I was a little disappointed that there weren't more fauns. I realize that as they make more movies, there's more humans and less creatures. It's disappointing, but at the same time, I think you can identify with the human characters better.
P.S. If you need to see the picture bigger, just click on it. You could also do a Google image search for 'Prince Caspian'. Come to think of it, I highly recommend the second option. :) |
One more complaint. I WANT THE BEARD TO GO. I like Caspian better without the beard. Not that Ben Barnes isn't gorgeous either way. So, leave a comment telling me what you think. Prince Caspian without beard versus King Caspian with beard. GO!
If you want to see this, and you haven't seen the ones before it (The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe and Prince Caspian), I would recommend watching them first. Dawn Treader might be confusing if you haven't. They're all really great movies.

New Ideas
So, you know how I was excited the other day and I wouldn't tell you why? Well, the excitement has worn off, so now I can tell you. I have to admit, this is kind of embarrassing.
I've told you before (I think) that I've never been able to vlog because my camera doesn't record sound. Well, that was a lie. I didn't mean to lie, it just took me, like, two years to figure out how to work my camera (and I claim to be a nerd!). Turns out, it records sound, but won't play it back directly on the camera. So I have to record, then put the memory card into the computer and watch the vid there if I want to hear the audio.
So what does all this mean, you may be asking. Well, right now I'm not sure. I'm thinking about making all the chapter analysis for The Twilight Saga that I told you about into vlogs instead of just normal post such as this one. If I'm going to do that, though, I need to get a move on, because like I said, I want to have that project completed in time for Breaking Dawn Part One. That means a couple vids a week. Maybe I'll split it up and do some typed and some vlogged. Who knows? Time will tell. Not too much time, though. I've got to get this show on the road. So hopefully I'll have a video up tomorrow.

For a while now, I've wanted to do a, sort of, chapter-by-chapter review of The Twilight Saga. Before I had the blog, I thought I would come up with a song that I thought was relevant to each chapter and put it on YouTube after some simple editing. But now, I do have a blog. So I've set a goal for myself. I want to analyze each chapter of The Twilight Saga by the time Breaking Dawn comes out. I've already finished the first chapter, I just have to type it up. You should see it within the next couple days.
Also, I'm pretty excited about something, but, yeah, I'm not going to tell you what it is. I just know I'm excited, and you'll hear about it soon enough. Make sure to check back!
(Yes, I'm aware I didn't title this post.)

Premiere: Switched at Birth

Daphne and Bay, the two girls that were switched. |
ABC Family's new series Switched at Birth premiered on Monday, and I decided to tune in.
They didn't waste any time, trust me. They cut right to the chase. About 10 minutes into the show, they had already gotten to the part where the two families realized the two girls were switched. (For those who don't know, the show is about two teenage girls who were, well switched....at birth. Yeah I know what you're thinking. "Thank you, Captain Obvious.)

Toby is all the way on the right, and Daphne is second from the left. |
Two characters I really like are Daphne and Toby. Daphne is deaf, but she has a great, positive attitude about it. I want to know more about her boyfriend though. Toby is the brother of Bay, on of the girls that was switched. I don't know what it is I like about him. He is funny. Maybe it's because he's Lucas Grabeel?

Breaking Dawn Part One Teaser Trailer
Well, there you have it oh-so-patient Twilighters. The wait is nearly over. You got your first glimpse at Breaking Dawn Part One. Excited? I know I am. I really like how they started the trailer, and I'm wondering if that's how they are going to start the movie itself. (During the awards, where they unveiled the trailer, girls in the audience started screaming when Jacob started running and taking his shirt off.) I did want to see the scene with Bella in the Guardian at the gas station though. The wedding looks beautiful. Did you notice that Stephenie Meyer, Melissa Rosenberg, and Wyck Godfrey are in attendance at the ceremony? Even more startling though, was when I saw that Edward actually COMBED HIS HAIR! *Dramatic gasp and hand motions* Honestly, it gave me flashbacks to Goblet of Fire. They both looked great. I love how Bella looks so simple, but exquisite at the same time. I really liked the part where they revealed 'the baby bump' if you will. I don't know why. It kind of seemed like a different side of Bella that Stewart was saving for specifically for that part. All in all, I thought the trailer was awesome, and honestly I think the movie is going to be even better than I had been expecting.
I did get to watch the Switched at Birth premiere, so I should be review that soon, and as far as books go, I don't know. I've actually read quite a few books lately, but none of them have seemed...blogable. ~"Forever is only the beginning."

Review and Recap: MTV Movie Awards
If you are a Twilighter such as myself, I'm sure just about everything about the MTV Movie Awards last night made you happy. Well...almost everything. There was that part where
All the nominee's for best kiss were good, but Rob and Kristen in Eclipse took the cake. This is where things got interesting. I couldn't find a vid on YouTube...so click here. My emotions began at shock, then I was laughing, repulsed, thoroughly repulsed, laughing again, and laughing hysterically. It was a weird moment to be a Twilight fan. I must add that I loved Kristen's dress!!! Rob and Kristen are so cute together!!! Okay, I'm done...
After alllllll that, my true reason for watching finally arrived. The Breaking Dawn Part One teaser trailered was revealed. I think you've all had enough squeals and giggles for one post, so make sure to check back for a review of the trailer real soon. Also, Switched at Birth premiers tonight on ABC Family and I plan on reviewing that! There's lots coming up, so make sure to come on back, ya hear?
ROBERT PATTINSON KISSED TAYLOR LAUTNER!!!
WHAAAAAAAT!?!?!?!?!?
But more on that later. (Talk about an attention grabber!)
The night began with the award for Best Male Performance which Robert Pattinson, of course, took home the popcorn for. I have to say, I was disappointed by his speech. Very vague, very lame, very boring. Sorry Spunk Ransom.
Tom Felton got the award for Best Villain for his roll as Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One. I can't tell you much about that...I'm not much of a Harry Potter fan. (Though I do think Emma Watson is amazing.)
I was incredibly disappointed by the Best Dropping Moment Award. It was given to Justin Bieber for a scene in Never Say Never. Yes, that is a movie, but it's not like the other nominees with actual actors and actresses! I was disappointed Inception didn't win in this category.
Eclipse's second win was for Best Fight. I have to agree that I was impressed the first time I saw the face off between Rob, Bryce, and Xavier. I didn't realize that Bryce Dallas Howard was pregnant until Rob (when accepting the award) said "I ripped your head off and now you're pregnant!" Always the classy guy, Rob is.

Kristen Stewart got Best Female Performance for Eclipse, and Best Comedic Performance was Emma Stone in Easy A.
Now, there were a lot of good movies this year. So, out of Inception, Eclipse, Black Swan, Deathly Hallows, and The Social Network, I truly didn't know who would win for Best Movie of the year. In the end, thought, Eclipse got the award. There were so many people on stage! The Cullens, and the pack, and Bella's friends....the stage was full by the time they also got that hamster wheel up there!

Review: Water for Elephants
Now don't get confused...this review is for the movie, which Hollie and I saw a couple Saturday's ago. It somehow just recently occurred to me that I should review it...sooo...
Since it has been a couple weeks since I saw it, and I didn't take notes (that's right, I try to take notes for you guys) I don't have all the details. I can tell you that it was really super good though.
I usually have trouble picking favorites. Like, I don't have a favorite book, or color, or movie. But this movie made me realize that between Twilight and Remember Me and Water for Elephants, Robert Pattinson is officially my new favorite actor. He was great in the movie, and so was everyone else. I was really impressed how well everyone played there part. Usually when I watch a movie after I've read the book, I'll go "Well, this character's not supposed to be like that," or "He doesn't have that kind of and attitude in the book." These actors and actresses hit is spot on though.
The storyline is amazing. Basically, it's about a young man who's parents die so he hops on a train one night, and it happens to be the Benzini Bros. Circus. The movie followed the book pretty well. Hollie thought it was somewhat violent. It didn't think it was too bad, but maybe that's because I knew what was coming from the book.
So, if you haven't read the book OR seen the movie, I definitely recommend both. I think I'm going to have to buy this one folks.
