Premiere: Switched at Birth

Daphne and Bay, the
two girls that were switched.
ABC Family's new series Switched at Birth premiered on Monday, and I decided to tune in.

They didn't waste any time, trust me. They cut right to the chase. About 10 minutes into the show, they had already gotten to the part where the two families realized the two girls were switched. (For those who don't know, the show is about two teenage girls who were, well switched....at birth. Yeah I know what you're thinking. "Thank you, Captain Obvious.)

Toby is all the way on the right,
and Daphne is second from
the left.

Two characters I really like are Daphne and Toby. Daphne is deaf, but she has a great, positive attitude about it. I want to know more about her boyfriend though. Toby is the brother of Bay, on of the girls that was switched. I don't know what it is I like about him. He is funny. Maybe it's because he's Lucas Grabeel?

Anywho, I thought it was pretty good. I plan on watching it again next week. It's on Monday's at 9 on ABC Family. If you watch the upcoming episode, but missed last week, you can catch the premiere episode here.

Okay question mark? If she's deaf how do you know what she's saying? Because I don't speak sign language. (Yes I am aware that you can't speak sign language, Alice, but I didn't know how else to put it.)
Sister is currently listening to Hairspray. I have the sudden desire to watch that movie now. Did you know that the only thing better than hairspray is me?

That's where you're wrong, Sally. The only thing better than hairspray is ME. To answer your question, she can speak. When people are just using sign language, like Daphne's friend, they have subtitles.
