Review: Speak Now World Tour Live

Every year for Christmas I usually get a decent amount of CDs and DVDs, because I'm a weirdo like that. This year I got Speak Now World Tour Live, which for those of you that don't know is a compilation of Taylor Swift's greatest performances throughout the course of the Speak Now World Tour. It comes with both a CD and a DVD. I really enjoyed the DVD. I think it's great when artist release concert footage, and make it purchasable to the public. It's really nice for people that can't afford to go to the actual concert. Alot of artist have done this in the past couple of years. Right off the top of my head I can remember Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, I think maybe the Jonas Brothers...

I was lucky enough to be able to see the actual Taylor Swift show when it came to town. It was amazing, one of the best times of my life so far. So I was curious about this DVD, wondering if it would give people the sense of being at a show. I was really impressed. For people that haven't had the chance to see her, it really gives you a sense that you've been a part of it, at least in some way. Even for someone that has been to her show, you get to see it up close, and from different angles.
Taylor and Grant
I would really encourage you to purchase the DVD. It truly is a phenomenal show. There's so much that goes on within a two hour time frame. So many costume changes, special effects. Each song is like it's own Broadway number. There's never a dull moment. There's always something going on on the stage to watch. The girl doesn't sit still. I also liked watching her musicians and dancers. I especially like watching Grant Mickelson (as creepy as that sounds). Thanks to this DVD, I've recently acquired a Grant obsession. I mean, nothing unhealthy. he's just really awesome. His hair, like, defies gravity.
