My Great Idea

So here's my 'great' idea. At the next yard sale, I can hang up this old poster and let people throw darts at it for like 25 cents a dart. If you hit a nose, you get a prize. Boom. Genius.

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN Part 1- Trailer

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo I couldn't find the actual official trailer, but this is clevverTV so I figured it's the next best thing. Seeing this trailer definitely got me pumped for November 18th. It shows a lot more than the last trailer did, especially of Bella's pregnant belly. Looks like this movie is going to have somethings to get used to, like Edward yelling at Bella, and Alice's new do...but we've already had to do that twice, now haven't we?

The first time I watched this trailer I temporarily forgot that this is just Part 1 and when it hit me (at the end of the trailer when it's only to the birthing scene), I had mixed emotions. I was like Oh, I'm going to have to wait EVEN LONGER for the next one, but also Yay! It's not the end yet! (I apologize for my terrible grammar in this post.)

All in all, I'm PRETTY PUMPED! I actually think this movie is going to be better than I thought, which is pretty amazing, cause I had some high expectations. It's still over a month a way, though! For now I must feed the need with watching the trailer over and over on my iPod (I downloaded it). So tell me guys, what do you think of what you see so far? I COMMAND YE TO LEAVETH A COMMENT!

Review: Halo

I'll tell you right now that this post is not going to be anything stellar. I went out of town this weekend and am in a awesome town in Maryland. Fun has ensued, and I just got to see relatives I haven't seen in a while. Anyway, this is not the computer I'm used, so this post will probably be pictureless. Sorry, but I'm not one to impose on the computers of others. Which is why this post will also be short (also because I did not bring my notes with me).

Halo was written by Alexandra Adornetto. I'd never read any of her books before, and I had heard alot of good things about Halo so I thought I would give it a shot. It's about three angels who get sent to Earth to better the small coastal town of Venus Cove. The youngest of the three, Bethany, is sent to high school and she falls in love. It has that forbidden love theme that seems to be in so many books these days. It was good. I had a good storyline. I mean I was curious about what would happen, but I thought it went kind of slow. It's a somewhat large book, around 500 pages if I'm remembering correctly. So, about the size of Twilight. I sort of feel like it took too long to get the climax. Like, there was too much rising action before the climax if that made any sense. It was just kinda of fluffy in the beginning, if that makes any sense. Once it got towards the end, thought, it was a little bit more Ooo, I wonder what's going to happen. I found that when it ended I wasn't terribly curious to see what happened next. It was a bit of a cliff hanger, but nothing too bad. So, I wasn't dying to find out what would happen next, and I figured I never would, right? I mean, it was the end of the book. Then I found out that there's a second book,  Hades. Still, I'm not all I have to get my hands on this book RIGHT NOW!

It had good parts thought, for sure. It was interesting because it's Bethany's first time on Earth AND she gets thrown into the high school environment. So it's like looking a small town life through fresh eyes. She looks at the high school drama of teenage girls differently than today's average teen would. So, that part was kind of refreshing. Of course, the romance element was good. The boy, Xavier, almost seemed too perfect thought. I guess they sort of always do in books, though. I mean, Edward (Twilight), Fang (Maximum Ride), Zane (Pretties). The list goes on and on.

Anyway, I truly am hogging this laptop, and I hear someone watching Alvin and the Chipmunks downstairs. So, I have no idea what will be in store next for Oh, That Alice, but make sure to check back soon and find out.

Review and Recap: MTV Movie Awards

If you are a Twilighter such as myself, I'm sure just about everything about the MTV Movie Awards last night made you happy. Well...almost everything. There was that part where

ROBERT PATTINSON KISSED TAYLOR LAUTNER!!!

WHAAAAAAAT!?!?!?!?!?

But more on that later. (Talk about an attention grabber!)

The night began with the award for Best Male Performance which Robert Pattinson, of course, took home the popcorn for. I have to say, I was disappointed by his speech. Very vague, very lame, very boring. Sorry Spunk Ransom.

Tom Felton got the award for Best Villain for his roll as Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One. I can't tell you much about that...I'm not much of a Harry Potter fan. (Though I do think Emma Watson is amazing.)

I was incredibly disappointed by the Best Dropping Moment Award. It was given to Justin Bieber for a scene in Never Say Never. Yes, that is a movie, but it's not like the other nominees with actual actors and actresses! I was disappointed Inception didn't win in this category. 

Eclipse's second win was for Best Fight. I have to agree that I was impressed the first time I saw the face off between Rob, Bryce, and Xavier. I didn't realize that Bryce Dallas Howard was pregnant until Rob (when accepting the award) said "I ripped your head off and now you're pregnant!" Always the classy guy, Rob is.

All the nominee's for best kiss were good, but Rob and Kristen in Eclipse took the cake. This is where things got interesting. I couldn't find a vid on YouTube...so click here. My emotions began at shock, then I was laughing, repulsed, thoroughly repulsed, laughing again, and laughing hysterically. It was a weird moment to be a Twilight fan. I must add that I loved Kristen's dress!!! Rob and Kristen are so cute together!!! Okay, I'm done...

"I wanna get chocolate wasted!" one in the new category, Best Line From a Movie. This was in Grown-Ups. Both Hollie and I were disappointed "You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling," from Inception didn't get that one.

Kristen Stewart got Best Female Performance for Eclipse, and Best Comedic Performance was Emma Stone in Easy A.

Now, there were a lot of good movies this year. So, out of Inception, Eclipse, Black Swan, Deathly Hallows, and The Social Network, I truly didn't know who would win for Best Movie of the year. In the end, thought, Eclipse got the award. There were so many people on stage! The Cullens, and the pack, and Bella's friends....the stage was full by the time they also got that hamster wheel up there!

After alllllll that, my true reason for watching finally arrived. The Breaking Dawn Part One teaser trailered was revealed. I think you've all had enough squeals and giggles for one post, so make sure to check back for a review of the trailer real soon. Also, Switched at Birth premiers tonight on ABC Family and I plan on reviewing that! There's lots coming up, so make sure to come on back, ya hear?
